Hello and welcome to our soon-to-be-updated WCA website

Anthill Mobsters:
Join us for a rockin' good time at the Village Hall on Saturday 28th April for a lively selection of the Blues and Rock 'n' Roll from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s! Pretty impressive stuff from our Village Band. Licensed bar as always. Tickets now available for a bargain price of £6 each from the village post office shop or either of our fine village pubs. See you there!

Coach Trip To Sunny Hunny: We are taking a coach to Hunstanton in Norfolk on May 9th - read about our last few trips here and look at some of the fabulous photos from the trips!

Scarecrow Competition:
See all the scarecrows from the 2011 competition and the prize giving party in our Photo Gallery! This year's competition will be very interesting - as we celebrate the Olympics.

Best Kept Village: We are getting ready for the 2012 Best Kept Village competition with one goal in mind - WINNING IT. If you want to join us in our bid, please contact us. We have some plans including a village-wide painting blitz. If you have a few hours to spare, we would love to hear from you. Let's see if we can grab the crown during the Jubilee Celebration year. Contact us by email at woodboroughcommunityassociation@hotmail.co.uk or call us on 965 3072.

Stewart's Charity Two-Step:
WCA member Stewart Nicholas is joining Ken and Michelle at the Nag's Head for the Notts Hospice's Strictly Learn to Dance fund-raiser. He has only a few weeks to get ready for a dance finale in Nottingham on 28 April. If you want to support this good cause - or learn more about his preparations - look at the Just Giving webpage.

Community Cinema:
We had a hugely successful film night at the Village Hall on Saturday March 10th with a screening of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn. We had a full house and plenty of gleeful children in attendance. We look forward to our next film in the autumn.

Village Events:
To find out what is happening in Woodborough, take a look at the village diary prepared by Alison Blinston. To add any events, please contact us. Or check our own WCA calendar 2012.

Speedwatch:
An initiative to slow down the traffic in our village is under way - it is led by the parish council and supported by the WCA. You can "read all about it" in the this report. MP Mark Spencer is also fully behind the Speedwatch project and was on the roadside with the Speedwatch team recently.

Emergency Plan:
Here is a link to the village emergency plan prepared by the parish council. Please read and if you have any questions there are contact numbers in the document.
