Hello and welcome to our WCA website

Over 60s Party!!
We hosted a wonderful over-60s party in the village hall on Saturday January 21st. Each year we ask everyone in Woodborough who is over 60 to join us for a lovely meal and some entertainment.  We promise you will have a great time. While you're here, why not look at some of the photographs from previous years?

Annual General Meeting:
Now moved to Tuesday February 21st at 7.30pm at the Methodist School Room across from the Four Bells. Please attend if you are interested in village activities!

Christmas Carols:
We unfortunately had to cancel the Christmas Carols round the beacon at Governor's Field on Friday December 23rd because of inclement weather. The field was simply too soggy to use. This is a lovely Christmas tradition in Woodborough that dates back many years ... and we plan to have a good one next year!

Emergency Plan:
Here is a link to the village emergency plan prepared by the parish council. Please read and if you have any questions there are contact numbers in the document.

Scarecrow Competition:

Top prize this year to Lucie Peacock's Dr Foster! Well done to her and also to George and Ruby Smart for the Most Original scarecrow Caught a Fish Alive. The quality once again this year was TREMENDOUS! See all the scarecrows and the prize giving party in our Photo Gallery! Next year's competition will be very interesting - as we celebrate the Olympics.

Village Events:
To find out what is happening in Woodborough, take a look at the village diary prepared by Alison Blinston. To add or comment on any events, please contact us. Or check our own WCA 2012 calendar of events.

COACH TRIP TO HUNSTANTON: We are taking a coach to Norfolk on May 9th - read about our last few trips here and look at some of the fabulous photos from the trips!

BEST KEPT VILLAGE: We once again made it to the finals of the competition - but we didn't win the top prize this year. We will be back again next time to see if we can grab the crown during the Jubilee Celebration year.
